If the car isn't heating up quickly then it wont be the temp sensor at fault, it is more likely to be the thermostat.

Nova is lighter and was on carbs, but i reckon its all about driving styles

Any one else know what it might be or is it the temp sensor? how muh are they?

Yeah mate thats the same with me. I put a tenner in it n got 80miles before it started to go on to reserve (well the red box at the bottom end of the fuel tank gauge)

tbh its the way u drive

this is true. for one fill up try and drive as if you were learning again. ie. not booting it everywhere and stuff like that and you'll see how much more economical it can be. then obviously you dont want to drive like this all the time so just find a medium between booting and learning

I am constantly pushing my 1.2 8v to the limits.. about 90mph and would say i get about 100 miles from a tenner

lol,
this is how i change my gears.
from 1st to 3rd then to 5th @ 30mph!
i drive in 5th @ 30, and if someone's behind me @ 35mph.
I coast down hills! (i know!)
I don't change down to stop anymore, just dip the clutch and coast!

what else can i do to save petrol?
