easier & less hassle to just drop the engine out the bottom with the box & then remove the box from the block once out!

will it slide out as a whole or will the head need to be taken off? i know it might be easier to take it all out but is it possible to just get the engine out?

i always thought it would be easyer to drop the whole lot BUT if you just take the engine out the top and leave everything else then u dont even have to take the wheels off the car........
the only cnut is trying to mate the engine and gearbox back together in the car.....

i wouldnt... there would enough play in the rubbers to move the gearbox slightly it needed
just undo the drivers side mount with the engines weight supported of course then push the engine toward the driver side wing of the car.
also use a flat blade screw driver in between the gearbox and engine to prize them appart...
should be all straight forward.
