Hello

Can someone tell me..... Is National Insurance taken off as a % of your wages? if so.... what %?
tax + nat ins, sub 30k is around 25% together aint it?

3% of wages??

12.8% NI, 22% tax for the lower bracket.

Plus about 8k ish allowance.

look on your pay slip, you should have a tax code i.e 34L (this isn't a breast size Adam )

then go on the inland revenue website

dont have a code/wage slip to hand.....
