To braek the fiesta for parts just because of that would be a travesty.
I know you could fix it for a lot less than you have been quoted!

Buy it then
The prospect of owning a new car appeals to me, modifying nowadays does not.
I'll just go to the car shows & look at the folk who have spent the thousands of £'s on their cars & say ' been there, done that ..... cars been on the cover of Redline to prove it'

No tax, it was due for the MOT the next day but rack snapped.
Milage is 106,000
Owners is 10
Only history is what i've done to it incl. new gearbox just fitted, plugs, leads, tappets, new alternator, new battery, recent anti freeze change & oil changed every 5000 miles since i've had it.
Engine mount needs doing but thats in the boot of the car & was waiting to go on.
Engine runs fine, always started 1st time ( except when alternator died).

£500 would get you the car, spare alloys, spare boot, spare doors.

Ideally need it out of the garage before the SXi arrives in 3 weeks or so.
Would obviously have to be towed away.
