Right my mate just popped round and sed his PC not work. So he told me wat is coming up when he turns it on ...

STOP: C000013S {UNABLE TO LOCATE COMPONENTS}

THIS APPLICATION HAS FAILED TO START BECAUSE WINSRV WAS NOT FOUND REINSTALLING THE APPLICATION MAY FIX THE PROBLE


Anyone got any ideas?

Re-install the application?

I don't think safe mode will work, reading that article you have to follow the more information bit at the bottom and go into recovery console to unistal SP2

Recovery Console won't let you remove SP2, Safe Mode would. Start up in Safe Mode, open MSCONFIG, and turn off "Startup Items". Reboot the computer and it'll skip all programs from loading. This'll make it easier to install an update.
