Ok im looking to get a motorised screen but dont want to spend loads. I have seen loads of screens like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=32826&item=5727357377&rd=1#ebayphotohosting
on ebay but i know they have no CD slot. Basically, my question is, if i were to replace my head unit with this screen how would i listen to music? I have a stand alone in car DVD that plays everything, dvd mp3 cd etc. Could i wire the dvd player into the screen and then listen to Cd's using the stand alone DVD player? Also would the sound come through my system?
Thanks

nah mate those units are designed to be run alongside a headunit. Only way around it would be to use seperate amplifiers ect but it would also mean quite a bit of rewiring.
Just to let you know, you can buy these brand new from the UK for £170 with a full 1 year warranty from here :

an all in one unit ull be looking at about £800 onwards
if you used it to replace the headunit, what would power your speakers? The standalone dvd will have no built in amp.
Do you have a corsa B or C? In a C, this is piss easy to do.

No problem bud
It can be done, but it saves a shit load of hassle just having an all in one. You could make a custom pod where the MFD goes, but its quite a bit of work.
