Fitted them lastweek, noticed when i went over an uneven surface that the rear rubbed; thought thats rather odd
Anyway on sat night i had two lads in the back and it rubbed like mad, its Standard height and BMW offer 17's and 18's as factory upgrades. So on Sunday i jacked the car up, (as had a lil rattle i wanted to sort) removed the rear drivers wheel only to find a coil on my suspension had snapped so the car is lower one side than the other hence the rubbing.
Spent a fortune in the last month
£400 on replacement rear window
£140 on new Radiator
New wheels and tyres
New starter motor
And now have to get some new rear springs that are gonna cost £135
Im now skint

17"s are no hassle, if you acxtually bother paying to get the tracking done the tyres will last.
NEVER skimp on buying tyres this is the most silly thing you can do, its the ONLY part between your car and the road, basically one of the most important things on a car. Could save your life!
And In reference to the post, and NovaGTEs comments, BMW offer 17"s + 18"s as standard+ upgrades on the E36 3-series. So theres nothing wrong with having that size wheel on the car.
Did you also know that irmscher offer a 17" wheel for the corsa b?

shouldn't have problems on 17's on a bimmer.we get 318's with 18's and even 19's with a drop that don't rub at all.are you sure there the right offset???

Yeah they are E36 wheels, there only rubbin on one side because part of the spring on that side has snapped, hence the buying new springs
