what is the best stuff to use to bond it on with?

they are what bodyshops use.

i've used tigerseal before & it worked fine
wear old clothes! the stuff seems to get everywhere & is a pain to wash off

There are 2 ways to get tigerseal off the skin, one is brake cleaner and the other is a cutthroat

or strip the paint back and use a polyeurathane based resin - it aint ever coming off then - silkaflex and tiger seal never go fully hard -still rubberised - so can cause problems later on - the resing will effecitvely bond the panel onto the tailgate for good
