im just about to have my boot smeethed, so i am goin to wire myself a boot solenoid in, which i have no problem doin, its just that with the corsa havin a "latch" in the lock, as soon as you press the switch the boot is still locked on the latch, could anyone help me on what to do about this, do i need to fit a spring of somekind somewhere??? thanks

think you just need a longer bolt or something so that the boot is lifted up and over the catch (so it just sits on it but is still unlocked).
Either that or you could fit some boot lifters so it automatically raises

iv heard that the astra boot lock just has a lock and unlock mechanism, is theis correct? instead of lock latch unlock??

u need to take the safety catch off the lock with a dremel or a grinder, or get some1 to pull the boot when you press the button.

As neiliosxi said you have to cut the latch off the lock so only the locking mechanism holds the boot closed

go and play with the lock and u will see which part is the lock and which part is the safety catch, safety catch must go!
