HEY! Found a Calibra turbo for under a grand, engine is still in the car and running, he just wants rid of it quick! I'm told i should check the transfer box as they aren't cheap?

Also, what else would i need for the conversion, i have an XE in my Corsa B at the moment........

If you are transplanting it you dont need to worry about the tbx as its only for the 4x4. Although if it works its worth £100-200.

To check, without getting into all the ins and outs of it, just check that the 4x4 works well and you cant get it to wheel spin.

I'd be more worried about the state of the turbo and engine as a whole if you want it for a conversion.

transfer box is only for 4 wheels drive so not to worry about that.... sounds like u got a good deal there mate..

should be able to get 150-200 for leather
150 wheels. then use the brakes..
sell other parts of the car and make a small mint

Thanks for the advice fella's, maybe able to get hold of a few XE engines ppl have lying about, still under the process of investigation tho!

What bout:

Driveshafts? (will my XE one's fit, snap in 2!?)
Engine mounts?

there mounts and shafts your using at the moment are fine.

You will need to spend over £600 on parts rebuilding the engine too.

Wouldn't be able to use the disks, they are 5 stud.
