Ive got Pioneer at the moment i like the flash stuff that has decent qualities. Alpine just lacks in the fancy screen department.

if u take the top of the range models from both alpine and pioneer, ul c that the alpine looks the best but the pioneer performs the best and i think pioneers are built very well, all the buttons work well everytime and they are easy to use but not as easy to use as alpine. pioneers generaly have more sound adjustment

from experience of being a car audio fitter.. i found alpine do have more quality functions.. the pioneer is more of a toy, it has lots of little gadgets, but the alpine has what u need, in total my system has had about 12 hours of tuning to get the correct sound.. and i do use and only recomend alpine.. thing ur find with alpine that it does have many many more functions that the compertition just people dont know how to access it and to use it. like the software u use on the net, setup the dimentions of your car, you set up every speaker to how u want.. then burn the settings to cd, and run the cd in the headunit and it sets it up.. its much more advanced than people think
