what sort of spec are these? had a play with one last night and it was fairly even match. he couldnt gain on me, and i couldnt gain till about 4th and even then was slowly catching...

tbh tho i'm not sure if the gsi is a bit down on power...

Its a Honda engine. Alot better than the Rover 1.8/2.0.

slightly more powerful than the gsi then, 10bhp in it...

still no other figures tho.

there not all honda engines i dont think, some use the k-series. But you would of beat a k-series easy as the head gasket would of gone after approx 10 secs

or the gear box would of blown up, mate done his 6th gear box in 2 years on thursday! good old rover, cant wait to get mine!

obvioulsy "your mate" catn drive for shit then, as yes the build quality of rovers is questionable but that amount of gearboxs in that time is stupid, he must be a complete turkey

the 216 GTi is a honda engine. DOHC honda 16v 1.6 . about 120 bhp i think

used to use the 1.8 16v yes. now they use toyotas 1.8 vvti engine from the celica. Much more refined, they should of sacked off the k-series years ago

216 GTi's came in 2 flavours both with Honda engines.

There was the dohc 130bhp version and a 115ish bhp sohc version.

well on the back it said 216 GTi TC. guessing then twincam?

already know about the famous k-series engine - the lotus garage a few miles away had a few elises returned after no more than a few hundred miles cos they all blew there tops
