yes, but who cares? it works, which alot more than the geeky linux ports plus MS will never change IE to follow the standard HTML conduct and it about time the linux geeky boys realised that

no i feel that all the linux bashers force these open source browsers out so they can try and change people to use something that will make majority of websites look fooked...just because IE doesnt follow the standard protocol....and all i can ask is WHY?? Even though IE does have holes all over the place, i can look at 99.9% of websites and they will be viewable...whereas if i used one of the linux to windows port browsers, like firefox, then i would struggle view alot of sites.
The worse thing that ticks me off though, is the little linux bods that say "if the website doesnt work in <insert linux browser here> then i wont visit it in future"...WHY? Although, the propper nob jockies are the ones that use a linux ported browser on their windows system and then install a plugin that allows them to switch to IE when ever there shitty browser cant view IE websites...simple answer - if you use windows, then use IE...simple no problems

I said id never change nbut its very useful to use at work as i have about 30IE screens open at any one time , and Fire Fox lets you use tabs so its quicker to navigate around.

if your using XP, then you can set it to use just one window...however, there are tab plugins for IE

No problems for me either....
And the reason Firefox may not display some sites properly is it really cares about the standards. IE just makes it own mind up about stuff and its much more relaxed in what it accepts...
Both browsers work here for most things (the site 'displays' properly in Firefox), but all our javascript is oriented towards IE, hence why some of the garage/webmail features don't work in Mozilla/Firefox/Opera...
And the reason we spend so much time making sure it displays right in IE, is because 92% of you use it compared to 4.8% using Mozilla-based browsers...
Email me any specific problems and I'll have a look, but the fact you can't log in is more likely your cookie security settings are slightly strict...

It didn't let me login for a while. It let me enter my username and password then wouln't do anything after, it'd take me back to the same page showing i'm logged out.
Doesn't happen anymore, dunno why.
