Got a 12 inch sub, aint built a box for it yet.
it says recomended sealed enclosure is 1.5 square foot, 42litres.
Should i make a sealed enclosure,
or a ported box, which'll be different volume completely i take it.
If i do build a sealed one, should i stuff it with sponge, or not, or just pad the walls a bit...?
or if i build a ported one, where do i find out volume, and number of port holes etc.
help me cs ICE guru's

sealed isd simpler and sounds better IMO.
The ported box would sound louder, need to be larger, and the sound u get would be tuned depending on how big the port is. The sub manufacturer is the person to tell u wat port size and length to use to tune to certain frequencies....
I dont wad my sealed boxs, just make sure the vbox is sturdy. As far as sealed box size goes, smaller is tighter and more punch but less low end output, the sound u want determines the box type, its up to you.
