This site is ment to be a source of help for people trying to modify there car. So why do some people always seam to post things saying
"Do a Search"? Or post a link that would take you to the Search page? The search thing realy is not all that good at bringing up results you type in.
So should we just say rather than been a smart arse, That if your not going to say anything nice or have anything constructive to say that you just dont say anything?
I think it puts people off when they first start useing the Site, And for regulars well i think it just gets on our TiTs.

The reason why the search doesn't work is either because you don't know how to do effective searches, or, because so many people post the same questions over and over again.
For example, there are about 5 posts per week asking how much it costs to have a 2.0 engine fitted. There are countless posts about how to wire 2.0 engines in and the same applies for V6 and 2.0 brake upgrades.
Another problem is when people post thier questions in the wrong forum, for example the ICE forum is rarely used and most questions are posted in general chat which means tha searching is inefficient.
There you go.

HOW EVER!
there are some times in the week when there r several post on the same thing thate come up.
Mayb we should have an easy access link too most common questions??

ok. but the reason for that is the ICE forum never has anyone viewing it and nothing gets replyed to hardly. people use this forum because there is always someone who knows about something and you mostly get replys.
The thing with modifying cars is that things always change and whats good to do 6 months ago aint always to right thing to do now so even if there is endless questions about XE conversions and whats not people are always going to want upto date info.

The method for 2.0 conversions has been the same for many years now.

And please dont get anyone started about the peole on herewho like to take the piss out of other people cars and differnt parts people have added to them.
People should think befor they speak and learn that its each to there own as far as car modification is concerned
