to start with car gets primed..

then it gets painted silver....

well they had a 4x4 thingy on pimp my ride being sprayed in burple and they never had to spray in silver first...it was just plain white primer

but you say it takes 4 SOLID days to spray....hmmmm...im sure it isnt quite 4 solid days worth of worth...maybe 24hrs worth of work, but not 90 hours

I think Rich knows quite a bit about Kandy's....

To get the whole car done though you are looking at about £1.5k - it's a similar cos to a flip paint or flake paint as it is very labour intensive.

You can have any ground coat you like - it depends on the finish you are trying to get. There are hundreds of House of Kolor Kandys all different colours and effects. The one you saw on the TV was a non-metalic Kandy...

Yep, that used a silver ground coat...

Not the best picture, but this was at Max Live... This had a very course silver ground coat on it - so it was sparkly... Was pretty

Kandy paints are an absolute arse to paint, because kandy isnt technically a paint but more like an ink! When you spray with paint it doesnt matter how many coats you put on, it'll always come out the same colour whereas the more coats of kandy you put on the darker it gets, eventually finishing in black!!! So yeah it does take around 80-90 hours to paint, however the actual kandy is cheap to buy itself at around £40 a ltr.
