My corsa B has been lowered we think 40mm, the alloys are 195/50/15 with an et37, still on standard shockers, removed bolts & glued arches on and still rubs the outside of the tyre, do you thing dropping to a 45 profile will solve the problem & should I have sport shock absorbers on???
Thanks Karla x

They wont work. You need ET 45, or ET42 at the most. Having 45 profile tyres wont do much either.

You might be able to squeeze them in though if you get some material trimmed from the inner arch - you will need to remove the plastic arch and get a hack saw or angle grinder to chop back the metal lip along the line where the bolt holes go - or you can get a big fuck off hammer and smack the lip outwards a bit...

Cheers for comments, looks like I need to find some 45's, so do ya think it's safe to run on standard shocks or should I go 4 ones that suit the lowered springs x

Eibach make springs not shocks
Lowering the car 40mm on standard shocks is perfectly safe - so long as the shocks are in good condition and not worn out.
If you are planning on removing the rear shocks or have a fair bit of time try this out (it's how I got 18's lowered 60mm on my car) -
Take the springs off
Re-attatch the shocks to the rear beam
Use a trolly jack to raise the rear beam in the middle so both sides of the beam go up equally
Look to see where the wheel or tyre is impacting the arch
Cut/Bang/Grind away the material thats in the way - you will need to do this to both the metal part of the arch and the plastic part as they will both be rubbing...

hmm thats why i have ET37 lensos lowered 60mm + with no rubbing and i can take passengers?
you just need the rigth tyres and prefferbly ones with a rounded off edge also width of wheels will play a part in ths.
