probably not free at the moment to be honest
if you look at it from the shops point of view, there are people willing to pay for this phone even on high monthly line rental so why would they do it free.
on vodafone @ the link if you go on a £30 200 min tariff the phone would cose £79.99
if you go onto a £40 line rental for 350 mins the phone is £29.99
if you go onto a £50 line rental for 500 mins the phone is free

Only getting it for the phone refuse to pay over 300 for it sim free but if i can get the phone for NOWT and get cheap line rental may as well get it. Makes sense, cancel the contract after the 6months simple as that really

i dont get why people do this
why would you not want to use the contract? your paying for the mins anyway, its a waste.

i had one on orange, silver version.Took it back as i could not afford the tarrif.Black is the best colour to get this phone in, it is over rated...and i dont really see what all the fuss is about.O2 where expecting delivery of the handsets from samsung momday just gone, and they did...however samsung withdrawn the handsets a few hours later due to a "fault".02 had put the phone on there website that morning and i quickly made my order at around 8am...i rang them up about 2pm to be told the bad news.
New date is now 7th of Jan
Spoke to the women when i took my silver D500 back last week and asked her how there selling. She said its crazy, there turning people out of the door every 10 mins...and on phones....the demand is HUGE....imo samsung have realy fucked up...and lost alot of christmas sales.

it's not the contract i'm after or the minutes it's just a cheaper way of getting around of paying silly amounts for the phone sim free.
So by people saying they are faulty then it's about right we should avoid them for now, cos i can get one delivered by start of jan

fiestakidda - are you not held to the contract for a year, so they still get 6 months out of you full price.
If that's the case, you're paying £270 for a year of that contract anything, excluding any calls you pay for.

why spend so much much money on something you wont use much
if you want it for the camera - go buy a digi cam
if you want it for the vid capture - go buy a camcorder/digi cam that does vids
if you want it cos it plays mp3's - go buy an mp3 player
if you want a decent phone - go buy a sony ericsson
