Whats happened is ive had my number for about a year now on my mobile and all of a sudden 2nite any phone i put my sim is says please insert sim like there's nothing there. Whats wrong? Would be SO greatful for any help

Uve probably put it in the wrong way or forgot to secure the clasp tidy.

pull battery out, pull sim out but both back in switch on - sorted

nope tried taking it all out and turning back on but just keeps saying Insert Sim. Its doing it on mine my dads and mums. any ideas

Make sure there is no crap on the gold bits on the SIM card!

Suppose you could try scratching the gold bits on the SIM card maybe it's not making 'contact' - is it an old SIM?

No just a bit of light scratching.

I had a similar problem ages ago and that sorted it out - the SIM was like several years old though.

ring ure service provieder and tell them

uve lost all ure fone numbers on it but they will send u out a new 1
