I hate removing engines. Only becuase I did it once and I didn't have a clue. I also removed a CV boot for some reason, and, the engine I was removing had a few oil leaks. Oh, and it was pissing it down with rain. Can't wait til I take the Corsa engine out

It's even better if you don't need the car after. Cut the front end off and yank it out.
My Corsa engine is imaculate though. Shame it's a 1.2 8v and totally worthless

ed... if i had all the parts infront of me i could have it stripped down and back together in an afternoon.. (rough guess never rebuilt one that needs to run after )

id buy a full gasket set, Esp sump! those things are a cunt
piston rings, clean the head up and do the valve stem oil seals and sort the tappets..
oil and water pump cant think of any more the now..
and some cossie rod bolts

Vaux just seal the sump up now instead of using gaskets, probably because the sump gasket is v v problematic

I removed my Engine the Last time while pissed told my mate to attach the engine to the hoist i unbolted the engine started to lift next thing i knew the engine was on the deck and the nose of the car was pointing to the garage roof
The dumbass hooked the hoist round the slam panel and forgot to mention he hadnt quite remember to hooked it to the Rope round the engine! I wasnt caring i think i knew at that point she was going to the scrappies!

We couldnt figure out why the engine wouldnt come out then found out we had put the rope around the sub frame
