Hi, im soon building a corsa, with c20xe, slightly rally themed etc.
But, i would like the dash to be a bit different, so instantly thought... MK2 Nova dash imo much nicer than corsa, but will it require major surgery, and new brackets etc, any1 done it b4?
Ive seen a nova with corsa dash, just not the other way about.
FAILING THAT.......
any1 fitted the nova gsi 6 dial instrument pannel/speedo? As digi dashes etc can be fitted so thought this might fit aswell.
If it physically fits, Would the wiring be difficult (wiring to a c20xe)
thanks

You could fit the complete dash if you wanted to. The cars are basically the same dimensions. Just be prepared to chop brackets off and make new ones as they are probably not identical, but they wont be too disimilar though.

Astra Mk3 dash is also much nicer than the Corsa B.
Or why not try an Audi A3 dash

yes very true, but just that the nova is similar width to the corsa.
Just to make shure im clear, im thinking of fitting WHOLE nova dash board to a corsa b
I know it will be alot of work, just things like steering wheel position, will the doors close ok, without leaving any horible gaps? etc etc
Shurely sum1 in europe has done it b4

If the nova dash proves 2 much for me, Can anybody shed any light on fitting the nova gsi 6 dial instrument pannel/speedo?
If it physically fits,(all the dials being visible, due to the big curve at the bottom of the corsa speedo/dial housing)
Would the wiring be difficult, due to having ouil pressure gauge, batt guage etc etc?? (wiring to a c20xe)

Best to do the astra Mk3 dash
reason
On the rear of the nova dash, on the window, the line is straight
On the corsa Dash, it is round
On the mk3 dash, it is oval.
MK3 dash is not in plastic, and rather flexible
Think it is impossible to get a nova dash in a corsa

Will fit, similar shape to a digi dash an they fit... You will need the appropriate sensors to get the dials to work. Voltage doesn't need a seporate sensor - that is doen by an internal voltmeter. Oil pressure is done using a oil pressure sender - they screw into the sump plug. You will need the looms from the Nova dash to plumb it into the Corsa. If the speedo is electronic then you will need the speed sender from the gearbox too and pop it into your gearbox. All the wiring should be colour for colour so you shouldn't have too many problems...

For everyone
You need to cut a lot from the sides as the corsa dash is round and the astra is oval.
Best thing is to cut a small piece and try to fit.
You neet to cut a V out of the metal lower part of the dash, because the dash is 4 cm wider.
It is possible that the dash only fits with a lot of force on the sides.
No prob, close the doors for a few days and the dash will keep its shape.
Best way to work also is with your front window out.
Easier to fit the dash.
The middle bold on the dash needs to be longer also.
Don't know about the wiring as for my whole electronics comes out of an astra MK3
So, for me it was easier to fit it
Took me about a day to fit it, a week to keep the doors closed
Hope I was clear, if you have any probs. do not hesitate to mail or U2U me.

cheers mate, very helpfull.
How did u join the sides back again after u shortened the dash?
The main thing im worried anout is getting the front of the dash to meet the window (as nova dash is fairly straight, corsa is curved)
And getting the steering cowling on correctly.
neophyterulez, do you know of anydody that has put a mk2 nova dash into a corsa?

The sides stay on the dashboard.
There is a metal straightening line through the dash from left to right.
If you don't cut that metal line on the side, it is impossible to get the dash smaller.
The material of the dash is not in plastic like the corsa one, more like the astra MK2 one if you know
I've had no problems to get the steering fitted, fits straight on
Think it is impossible to fit the nova dash because to get the middle against the window, you have to cut A LOT on the sides, so much that it would be impossible to get the dash fitted of the fuse box, steeing frame, and even thing the heater also.
Hopy you understand my not so correct english

your english is very good.
Yes that was the part worrying me, the front of the dash, i was thinking of putting part of the corsa dash in front of the nova one (to fill the curve at the bottom of the window, and somehow make it into a feature, paint it etc?)
So for the mk3 dash, you cut a v out of the strenghtening bar, to allow it to bend a little?
Then close the doors, and squash the dash to fit??
Doesnt this distort the dashboard, making it bulge in places?

Thanks, only dificult for some words
Think it is possible to take the rear end of the corsa dash and the front of the nova, then use polyester to mould the 2 pieces together, afterwords smoothening and retrim the dash with skai or vinyl.
Think it is possible, but easier for the mk3 dash.
Yes, if you cut a piece of the metal bar, you can bend the rear of the dash to fit it between the side frames of the corsa. If you close the doors, the front of the dash is crushed between the 2 doors.
Looked weird when I closed the 2 doors, saw my dash moving bigtime.
If I do this now, the dash doesn't move anymore.
I have a small problem with fitting the right frame of the heater, it's a little bold, but think it is possible to get 20 kilo on it for a few days and problem solved.
Saw the place where the digi dash is moving also when I closed my doors, but Everything fits nicely without gaps.
Was worth the work, and you have something special
