I paid £670 to insure my 1.1 Saxo but i've seen an 03 plate 1.8D Ghia Focus i fancy but no-one will insure me for under £900. I've 2 years NCB but we do have a dodgy postcode. Does this sound right ot have the insurance comps gone tits up Would like a 307 or Golf but there a little pricy at the minute.
BTW, this is the last car i'm buying for a long time as i'm gonna start saving for a deposit on a house or apartment

No real lesser risk, you are still driving it and it still may be vandalised etc.

What you want? Go there, pay the money, come home in the car. If you want a cup of tea, buy a Lexus.

I know nothing about cars so i need to get it serviced and prefer the main dealer for this.

Tried them. Was over 1k.
At the moment it's gonna cost me the Saxo and £2700 to get it on the road. That's for the car, insurance and tax. Getting it taxed for free

Use another Citroen dealer if your local one is rubbish, its not necessary to change brands. I've used Spekehall, Lookers Bootle, MTB in Widnes before it closed, PLP, Lookers St Helens and Ormskirk because I wasn't happy each time. Still drive a Vauxhall though.

Does that depreciate the value of the car anymore than if i was to use the main dealer -- i.e. say it's a Pug and i use a Ford dealer?

No
You use a Citroen dealer for servicing your Citroen, and I'll use a Vauxhall dealer for servicing my Vauxhall.
Jesus Christ.
Customer service is the dealer not the brand. Go on the Citroen web site and use their thing to locate a dealer, then find one you've not been to yet.
