knock the arches out and cut the lip off of the plastic arch.unless the width of the wheels is more than a 7" then more work will be needed!

I hammered them out a bit... Nothing to serious. I really need to chop the lip out to stop the scurbbage all together. When the -40mm springs were in they weren't scrubbing though.

Well, bearing in mind I tested it once, they should be ok though really... So long as the arch work is put in. Mist XE did a tutorial on trimming the arches a while back. Dunno where it went thoug.

Alright fella, there is a chance the side walls of the tyre will rub the inner arch on compression, but this also depends on the shape of the tyre wall, yoko's are quite square so havve a tendancy to rub slightly (did on mine and im et49 down 40)
where as avons have a curved sidewall that follows the contour of the arch. best thing to do is to let them rub slightly for a couple days then take them off as see where the tyre is making contact with the arch, big mallett, saw/grinder, some paint, annd you can cut the lip off the arch (this is where it usually catches)

Just took me a few hours with a hammer and some tools for knocking the bodywork back... Still catch, but only over huge bumps, I was expecting that anyway with 18's lowered 60mm. Also depends on the car, as some Corsa's rub like hell on just one side, and others don't rub at all - to do with the manufacturing tolerences.

Its easy to cut arches back , i did all for in just over an hour.

marked a line all the way around the arch just below the holes (1-2mm) then got jig saw and cut the full lip out , just watch on the drivers side as theres the fuel lines .
