With under £1000 to spend
Are diesel engines which are 10-15 year old more solid and better built that petrol engines of the same age.
Are they easier to maintain? I heard the parts are a little more expensive?
Looking at
1.4 1.5 106's
1.8 clios
1.5 corsas
1.8 fiestas
Cheers !

Insurance would be a problem as she would be 17 nearly 18 with 0 NCB, didnt TD only come in 1.7 and not with 1.5?

106 diesels like eating headgaskets.
Unless she does a lot of miles get petrol!
