Hum interesting one this - dont know if its just me but...........
Driving the Corsa GSi to Cardiff from Northampton - Sitting at 80kph, move up to 90kph. Notice that the temprature is creeping up from its usual spot around 90deg.
Move up to 100kph, and now its sitting a good couple of notches up.
Slow down to 70kph and the temprature returns to the good old 90deg.
I have never noticed it doing this before (im sure i would have done)
The only thing i can perhaps think off is that im very very slowly suffering head gasket failure.
The car recently had a full major service including oil and water change - and the heaters are nice and hot so im not loosing water....
Little bit stumped.

Why actually bother replying if you dont have something constructive to say.
The car is "doing" something it hasnt done before and it concerns me..........

Also might be worth cleaning the fins of the radiator out too with a hose, as over 10years it can get clogged up, just enough toreduce heat transfer??
What are you revving at when this is happening?? I found with a 1.2rad in my nova over 4k would make it start to heat up (bear in mind that's 70mph) bigger rad sorted the issue, so maybe yours it clogged.

Greasemonkey - you saw the engine coming out.
The engine is being rebulit and nearly ready to go in.
But i have since spotted a LET this morning so im in two minds.
But i want my C16XE in perfect working order in order to sell on with confidence.
The problem is the rad blocking up i think.
This will all be changed once the engine goes in.

Thats the risk when buying an engine though, i bought a RE-BUILT C16XE and once i put it in i found the engine was unrunable i had to re-build it twice before it worked, it only worked second time cos i threw the engine in the bin and re-build my original myself, hasnt missed a beat since though
