all manufacturers cut costs, my dads first scooby didnt have rear discs, we put them on and that changed the way the car stop and handled dramitaclly.
That was 160 bhp car.

Drums fade over persistant heat, if you was caning around in a 1.2 one night the drums would for sure fade after a while, discs however do not, only serious speeds and power will get brake fade with a car with discs.

If there is the slightest tiny chance of fade, then putting discs on to remove this tiny chance is surely of benefit?

I can't see any downside! As long as they are setup right....

Thanks for all the replies, been offered it at a good price.

I do plan to put an XE in there, but would rather upgrade my brakes and suspension before I do so.

Will probably go ahead with it, what kind of brake bias valve will I need?

The Disks Were Bright Orange
