Looking to do a TV indash, but dont want to chop it up and loose the top vents and have to move the hazard etc, so was thinking about doing something similar to this one :

Is it just a case of chopping up some ISO connectors and then connecting them together so they both join into the same connector or not? Any advise is appreciated

it depend on what stereo and what tv ur installing.
if ur stereo plays dvds it will prob have an in so its a case of running seperate power to the tv (not chopping isos). A video RCA from tv to stereo out.
if you have a normal stero and a tv that plays dvds you only need to run seperate power to the tv and use a fm modulator to get sound through the speakers.
if you have a normal stereo a tv that doesnt play dvds you'll need to put a sepeate DVD player somewhere, give that and the TV seperate power. run a video rca from player to tv and audio rca from player to fm modulator which connects to stereo.
think that covers most ways you can do it, any questions u2u me

I wouldnt recommend running 2 headunits off the small std wires. Run a perm live from the battery, a switching live from a relay that is switched on by your stereo headunit, (when stereo headunit is switched on, the tv switches on) then ground to the car body. then all u need to do is run your yellow input to the tv headunit.
