u checked ur brake fluid level? that might explain the handbrake light not going off, as it has a sensor on the resivoir connected to that circuit to indicate low fluid

id check for a fuel leak around the engine end somewhere first. Its obviously leaking somwhere and seen as thats the last thing you disturbed....

Hand brake light usually means low brake fluid doesnt it?

could it be possible the injectors are always open hence flooding the cylinders with fuel. Just an idea. check the crank shaft sensor

oh yeah also tried another ECu we seem to be rapping Lees car for bits all the time...

nothaving much luck at all i agree but it used to be sooo damn reliable...it just recently its giving me grief.

Water temp switch
checked thermostat
new loom
fuel rail and injectors
new earth strap
ecu

hmmmm running out of guesses here

i think your just gonna have to get lucky with it.... cam shaft sensor?

its just so wierd how it seems to be chucking in sooo much petrol you can see it virtually pourring out of the exhaust....spose can dismiss anything really

dont think it will be the dizzy.. and the crankshaft sensor just tells it when to spark doesnt it?

sounds like your injectors are on full all the time....

woudl the fuel regulator have anything to do with it? was ths changed with the fuel rail?

yeah the FPR would of been changed with the rail complete. hmmm its got to be something really simple

Any chance it could be something simple like the RON plug? Maybe the resistor is fooked and fooling the engine your using a lower RON fuel. Just a guess.
