i get 10% more mpg me thinks, it is noisy but only if ur going slow, at speed (above 20mph lol) you won't be able to here it. I think mine also helps in higher revs when it might struggle to get all the air in cos i've just got standard air box with a few bits chopped out the inside.

That would be a Pipercross silencer. Not really a filter because the pores in the foam are too big to really be classed as an air filter (although it doesn't stop some filter manufacturers... ).

Thanks guys, still debating whether or not its worth it! at £70 for one is a lot of dough for it not to save me much money on fuel

If you're getting better mpg, then it's paying for itself, then saving you money

they are £70 with a filter/silencer....

As for the paying itself back... it just depends on how much money it saves me each time I fill up, I get seriously low MPG at present anyway, (120-130 miles on £20)

the only reason they give better mpg is because they make it run lean! thats not good in anyones books!
i had one on my old mondeo, they are crap, they made a real stupid slurp noise and are dangerous to ur engine, mine came undone on way to manchester, i realised something was wrong tho, so i stopped and taped it up, but seriously do not other, waste of money

If you think it's dangerous to your engine, then voice your concerns to Ecotek Plc, rather than damage their reputation on a public forum.
