H.I.C are good, they cover you for a guarenteed value and are not extortionately priced, and they dont ask for an engineers report or anything, i just gave my new details over the phone and 2 days later i got my ammended certificate,, i had 7 months left on my policy and they only charged me an extra £225 to upgrade it for the 7 months.
