yeah i think so!
somehow you might be able to software mod it but you would need to look at forums etc..
the only thing ive found software wise is a Region Free DVD thing

shame really cos for the gamecube you can buy a thing called a freeloader, pop that in and when i says to put the american/japanese game in and it works!

u need to use a toploader ps2 case i beleive and some software, my mate has a harddrive in his and uses that.

Get it chipped thats the best way mate. Don't get one of the "Toploader cases" They are more trouble than there worth. u2u me if u need more info

i can get GT4 sent to me next wednesday on a US version but cant play it unless i get it chipped or someother way ffs
