After weeks of pissing about the car its up and running again 
Turns out it was the fuel pump, however, I was told the fuel pump was upgraded to a gsi previously. Which is why it never occured to me beforehand.So i got my hands on a vectra pump today to put on, pulls out the pump that was in it and guess what, standard 1.2 jobby 
I'm raging because its cost me loadsa money and time due to a lying bastard
Happy its working again though, last thing is to get a bigger radiator this weekend and fit it some point in the week due to it running a bit hot.
