you havent turned the idle control valve right down have you? im guessing you have already thought of that but simple things are what people often forget :s ?

turned it down?

i just sprayed it in, shaked the crap out, let it dry and put it back.

shouldnt make the slightest odds....

should make it start better if any carb cleaner got in air system...

Is the valve jammed shut?

I removed the AICV on the skyline.... cleaned and refitted.... car idled at 2k rpm after that.... i had the engine in bits, ECU out and played with....

eventualy found the throttle cable jammed under something pulling it open, whoopsi

It took me ages to get my IACV off the Nova, got it off cleaned it up. Found nothing wrong with it, day after took the inlet manifold off and found a sock rapped around the butterfly in the throttle body

im fairly confident no socks have been near my inlet manifold

had mine done on old engine and it started very well after being done ........ doesnt help your problem though

did you remeber to plug it in?? Take it out and lube it open and close it a bit then stick it back in.

You are supposed to fit a new o-ring every time you remove it, I did'nt.

an o ring wont make it not start....

If it was not working/sealing/opening quite like it should it idle like a turd.... it'll still fire up
