What would everyone recommend for a 1.2 16v. in terms of medium noise and performance.

standard box. i bought a new one got it at trade price aswel. lol so cheap compared to a performance exhaust

I paid £368 for a manifold back system from Powerflow, its lovely and sounds the balls.

I paid £330 for simular system on my silver SXi 4 years ago from the Redhill branch of RSR who do Powerflow, good blokes, done it in about 2 hours.
