I own a 2002 Corsa C, 1.2 16v with 175/65 R14 stock tyres.
Now I plan on buying these rims, they're OZ Racing 7x16"
and Toyo Proxes T1S in 205/40 R16.
Would this fit ok on my car, if not what kind of modification is neccessary?
Also, would these rims and tyres cause any trouble to the suspension or to anything else?
I'm seeing a lot of Corsas on 17"s so I guess 16"s would be ok, but anyway I'd like to know for sure.
I also have an offer including same rims but 15"s and same tyres but in 195/55 R15. So which offer is better ? Not financially, but simply in terms of possible problems it can cause.
I'd like to know is there a big difference between 15s and 16s, also in terms of possible problems.
Help lol.
Thanks a lot for any help!
P.S. I'm new here, so I just want to say hello to everyone, this is a great site

The offset is ET35.
And what if I don't lower it at all ? Do I have to?
If I buy these wheels and tyres I won't have much money left for lowering, so I'll have to wait a couple of months.
But if I MUST lower it, how much is it? 20mm ? 30 ?

not really an offset friendly wheel, will most probably experience rubbing.
as for the lowering, its up to u if ur happy with the way it looks. almost everyone will say lower it...better handling anyways. 40mm is a pretty standard drop.

Thanks for replying, but can you tell me how to avoid rubbing? Are 15s only solution?
I don't know much about mechanics and stuff but I'm quite sure that I'd have more problems with 17s then 16s and I see that 17s are almost a standard on Corsas here.

do a search on here. theres been loads of offset questions
the most common size on C's are 17's probably. 18's fit nicely if you can get a decent offset.

Most with 16s and 17s have a high offset - nearer 45.
35 puts the wheel 10mm nearer the outside arch which can cause problems.

et38-40 is best bet for 18's isn't it?

Only because they're going to catch anyway, so it may as well be on arch and not suspension...
