Can I use the K&N Filter Cleaning Kit to do it? There the only ones I can find locally & can get them cheap-as!
Also, how would be the best way to clean it? It needs doing as its very dirty!

Fuck no!!!
Just clean it with mild detergent and warm water. Don't soak the filter in the water though as you don't want any dirt getting itself further into the foam.
Remove excess dirt by gently brushing the filter.
Apply Pipercross cleaning additive (C9003 or C9000) or mild dish washing detergent liberally to the surface of the filter.
Massage into the filter by hand or with a soft brush and allow to soak into the foam for around five minutes.
Flush the filter out with warm water from the clean side of the foam through to the dirty side
Allow the filter to dry naturally - do not apply any heat to the filter to speed the drying process!
Should the filter for your vehicle require it, lightly apply Pipercross dirt retention additive (C9007 or C9001) to the outside (black) of the foam.
