Right, when i fitted my clarion VRX928RVD i earthed it to the metal strap on the centre console as reccomended by Richie

This worked fine for at least a month. No problems sound quality was amazing.

Then one day, just for a laugh. It suddenly appreared to have a bad earth So i whipped everything off saw it might need tightning, di so and problem solved. For all of 5 secpnds,

Today, i moved the earth to a different point and lo and behold, for 5 seconds its fine, then it just goes

Anyone any idea what the fuck is wrong with i? Really annoyiong me now

I only got it a couple of months ago, 6-8weeks if that!

then it could well be your voltage regulator on your alternator or a bad earth on your alternator. Have you tried it with the engine not running?

If with the engine on it sounds better then it could be your main battery earths, you checked those?
