I am really considering an engine transplant, as my 1.2 8v is just to slow now and i want something with a bit more go. I was thinking about a x16xe or a c16xe, but am not sure on the difference between these two?
Theyre both out the GSI as far as im aware?
How easy would it be to drop a 1.6 in to my corsa? Im fairly mechanically minded, and take on all aspects of modifying myself, what new bits would i need? driveshafts etc? Could i do it myself?
Cheers for your help!

easy enough
you'll need
MPI Fuel Pump from Sport/GSi/SRi
16v Rad from Sport (mind, some people say 8v SRi rads & 12v rads are upto the job)
Mounts (may just be gearbox mount, speak to Adam-D)
shafts
gearbox
engine
ECU
Engine Wiring Loom
Also the Trandponder & Key Chip from the original donor car.

Not gearbox mount, its the drivers side mount which could be different, depends on whether you want to run PAS or not.
If you don't then you can use the exsiting mount, if you want PAS then a PAS mount will be required.
Won't cost much though.
A 1.2 8v rad will be enough for the X16XE, I have a 1.0 8v radiator on my Nova running the X16XE

You can even use the shafts from the 1.2 8v as well if you do so wish.
