How much would it cost to get a new one and fitted

I've got a broken PS2 with loads of bits missing and one with a broken lazer. However, the broken PS with all the bits missing has all the cables broken off the lazer so looks like it's no good to fit in the broken one.

Trying to fix one for my sisters two crazy kids as they've managed to kill both of them. I would give them mine but then it means me going out any buying a new one and my one will just be broken within a few days

ebay it mate, or use google - im sure there about 40 quid, or ive seen them around for that price (or something similar) so not too much, but still not cheap compared to price of a ps2 etc

PS2 lasers are about £40, but its usually not the laser at fault, but its components. Its usually the laser arm or the white cog that fucks up on them.

If you think it may be the laser, just tweak the pot a little bit.
