Remove the filter from the car and detach the cold air feed and the alloy end attached to the front of the Viper.

Run cold or lukewarm water the Viper in reverse direction to the airflow (back to front) to bring out any dirt deposits.

Use a mild detergent or even better, Pipercross C9000 filter service kit and massage some of the cleaner into the dirty side of the foam.

Rinse through as before and keep applying the detergent until no more dirt comes out.

Rinse until it's soap free.

Let the filter dry naturally in an airing cupoard - don't apply any direct heat.

Refit.
