ok, after your middle box is there any pipe? if not your gonna need a new middle box aswell but if there is you need to ensure it leads all the way thru to about the axle and it should have 2 slits in it, you need to put ure new exhaust in it...
pics wud be best if u can get some? once we know wats going on with ure middle box and pipe we can sort u out

like dna23 said!
Where does the pipe come to?
If it reaches just after the axle then all you need is the pipe removed from the end, but if the middle box pipe is broken then you will need to replace this too

basically u need to spray a shed load of wd40 on at the joint above the axel where ure backbox meets the mid box end, it should also have a clamp on there, best u remove this lol!! once thats off u'll need to do some serious twisting and bashing but only on ure bac box end also i recommend u unclip it first from the rubber mounts...
if u look just underneath the bumper it will be on two rubber mounts u should clip them off - shove a screw driver thru the speed clip type think, twist it then pull off from the iron rod.... do this for both then slide the rubber out but support ure bacbox as it now is hanging free from the car...
once the backbox is off u wanna clean up the end of the midbox pipe using some wirewool or a drill attachment.etc then get some Firegum or other ehxuast paste to seal the joint (shud be available from most motor places) and also a enw exhaust clamp to go over.... slop a load of the gum on ure exhaust pipe end - offer it up to mid box pipe... clamp it on but make sure clamp is turned away from axle to prevent knocking!
then reclip in the exhaust rubber mounts to ure new back box, fire her up
