Right

I have the RDR-HX900 Sony DVD HDD recorder/player and the fucker wont play america DVDs
Yet my £25 one upstairs plays them perfectly lol

So i am just after the code to make this sony one multi region.

Thank you to all the dedicated corsa sporters who will help me out
And thanks to all the people requesting pics and vids
And thanks to the people that will probably tell me to do the DVD player dry

Really hoping that there is a code for this as i cant find one. All i can find is stuff about a program that you run with infa red etc

Well you can do the player dry then try this..

This is the fix.


1. select dvd device on remote
2. hold magic button until rabbit comes out
3. enter device code 0533

Now we need to program buttons 1..5 (you may want to use the buttons with roman numbers at the bottom of the remote, and use another button for V, which doesn't exist) with the following codes, read below for instructions:
1 - 189
2 - 255
3 - 095
4 - 221
5 - 079

This is how you program those numbers:
1. Hold magic button until rabbit comes out.
2. Press 994.
3. Press magic (don't hold).
4. Enter 3 digit code from above.
5. Press button (1..5) where to program it.
6. Repeat steps 1 to 5 for all keys.

That works, but more information on macros is included in the one4all manual for you particular model.

Have a go:
1. Ensure NO Disc in Player and Player TURNED ON to DVD
2. Press 1,2,3,4,5 - TIMER OK is displayed
3. Press 1,2,3,4,5 - TIMER OK is displayer
4. Press 1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4,5,5 TIMER OK is displayed
5. Press 1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4,5,5 TIMER OK is displayed
6. Power OFF Player, wait a few seconds,
7. Power ON Player, insert Region 1 DVD, and it will work

I have used this hack on ALL sony players (circa 2003 onwards) and it works, guaranteed.

If your considering paying £25 for a remote why not buy another cheap DVD player?

I have a disc for my PS2 got it with Xploder pack the disc works in my dads Panasonic DVD/Video combo thing and now it plays all foreign DVDs no problem

You can't blame Sony for actually adhering to the the region codes and shipping their players locked.

Allan: He won't buy another £25 player as this one is a HDD recorder Plus it's not some cheap tat.

I don't think you can multi region Sony hardware like that, I thought Sony stuff needs to be 'chipped'.

Thanks, Will try and find a remote knocking around the house first before i spend cash on a new one that i wont need again.
And only one person suggested doing it dry. I think corsasport is going soft!
