Yes this is exactly what I would do, the guys on the desk are normally on P/T Police officers and are'nt 100% up on the law, chances are it will be overlooked.

what do u think will happen when she dosent produce the inurance the coppers also failed to mention on the producer that she was been towed

They'll caution her and ask why she doesnt have the insurance document, will write down her answer and get her to sign the slip

I didnt have my insurance doc when i got a producer an this is what they did to me

cant her mum bring her driving lisence down ? just say it were her that were sat in it.

i got pulled about 6month ago , had to bring all my details down and i brought my old insurance cover note that had expired.

they did not even notice

But when you dont produce the document they caution you and write down your answer as to why you dont have it

Im not a copper so i have no idea what they will actually do when they find out there is no insurance on the car im just trying to help out a little as are other people

Just produce the provisional and practise your 'Oh my gosh really' face when he tells you that you can't be in control of a motor vehicle unsupervised.

Tell the truth, look sorry and see what happens.
