Rite...just ordered me a set of 17's, ET42, 205/40/17 tyres ive got a corsa b with standard suspension. the question is will i need to take the bolts off the arches and glue them back on or trim the arches at all?
any help will be apreciated

At a guess I'd say yes due to the width of the tyres with that offset as I had 195/45/16 on et40 and it caught at the back so I just trimmed the arches back with a stanley knife and bent the metal out a little never got round to debolting before I sold the car

You'll need to mod the arches with that offset, and its not going to look great unless you lower it as well.

im gettin 17s aswell my mate had 17s on his his corsa and it was supposedly lowered 60 mine is 50 in 15s the now.....anyway he sed he debolted them then grinded away a bit of the arch not 100% tho try debolting it then take it for a drive if it still rubs you will need have to grind the bits that rub

17s et 42 will need arch work especially if ure gonna drop it and u shud otherwise u'll be the laughing stock of ure local town....
arch work needed cud range from debolting and tiger sealing wheel liners on, possibly even completely remove them :O u may also need to cut away part of the metal archwork under the plastic trim (i did this and i only had 16" with et45 but i was playing it safe) u will also need to cut away ure plastic arches to let ure wheel move....

i think ill cancel the order then...and have a rethink. would TOORA rims fit...does any 1 know the offset of these? or BBS rims?
