what are in the endurance races??
i would think that lemans 24hr and Nurburg 24hr would appear there, but what else??
also on the 24hr does the day change to night and so forth??

nope nothing like that although I've heard Rumours from a site that Polophony digital will be including weather and time changes into Gran turismo 5 which will be the first racing game on the new Playstation toward the end of next year early 2007..
think this could be a load of shite as i have also heard rumours that Kazunori Yamauchi the produccer/Director of the Gt series has said that there Wont be a 5th installment of Gran turismo, although he was quoted as saying that "online play will eventually be available in the near future of the Series!"
So you can make what you want out of those rumours  bit too early IMHO to be talking about GT5 though

very true..
but Gran turismo 4 already uses the PS2 capabilities to the full! thats why the Online game play had to be scrapped and the game was delayed so many times, basically to put in weather and time changes the game would have became alot slower and tbh it would have put the game in the same Leagues as Gran turismo 2 is nowadays 
If Gran turismo 5 does come out for the new Playstation i can see it instantly using the new Playstations capabilities up in the first series therefore killing off the game.. Gran Turismo desperately needs the new console to continue the series as there is not much more they can add to make the game any different!
BRING ON THE NEW PLAYSTATION!!!!

The graphics are very impressive considering the PlayStation 2 runs a 300MHz processors and is over 5 year old now.
