how do i resett the ecu so that my em light goes off, as i have now replaced the faulty parts, do i leave the battery dc'd for a few hours? cheers

may not clear it sometimes ecu will store the fault and you will need to have diagnostics plugged in to clear the fault codes.

u taking the piss? lmao its £45 and last time i went there they give me a bill of £507 dad rang them up and told them 2 take parts out, not goin there

on my XE it goes off when theres no fault....The code is stored till the battery is disconected but the light goes off straight away

my egr use throw a wobbler so just turned engine off for 2 secs at traffic lights etc and restart and the light was gone. Fixed itself now anyway was gonna replace it but its not come on a few months

lol well mines replaced now with the air flow metre, went out in it b4 certainly can tell the power has come bak doesnt miss or hold back, booked m.o.t for sat morning again so hopefully shud be fine
