as i brake to a halt it makes a grinding rubbing noise, could be pads and if i pull off slowly or let the car idle my exhaust seems to make a tinny rattle. when idleing it squeks aswell. its only started today the day after the mot so has the mot guy touched something.
it goes from bad to worse at the moment

its your irreversible differential contol plateau, get it sorted asap (teddy told me)

Grinding is probably the rear drums....get them checked...may need new shoes...

wat on earth is that rob? did it happen to yours? is it a brocade yellow thing if it did?
whats the exhaust noise though. really p*ssed off witht he corsa as its one thing to another at the mo, failing mot on emmissions, having to have a big expensive engine service which cost wiv money i dont have at the mo as im skint wiv it beinga very expensive month.

take it your car is brocade yellow too then?
sounds like you need pads and/or shoes, dunno about the squeak on idle, but the exhaust is probably either catching on the car somewhere, or the cat is shagged, mine rattled at about 2000 rpm, and it had crumbled, so just got a new one and its fine now

Discs and pads. Can be especially fucked if a bird has owned your car before  .

check ure drums mine grinded and it was a stone stuck in them i just took them apart and removed the stone  !

it passed the mot in the end after having a full engine service as the oil to petrol etc mixture was too rich and strong. im gona go to the garage tonite and see the mot guy and ask him. more expense, wana mod me car not keep on fixing it !

how many corsas do you know with rear discs 
sounds like drums, probs needs new brake shoes, or your handbrake is starting to seize

sussed the brakes now, the outer lip, the discs are gettin thin,
the exhaust mite be a baffle or a fitting
