My car has developed serious engine problems so was firstly wanting to know how much it costs to get my fault codes read by a vaxhaul garage

problem is the car doesnt like going up the rev range and there is very little power the spaner light came on once then went of and i did check all the fluid levels before anyone asks

oh and the engine sounds like bag of bolts ticking loudly which increases with rpm and makes a nasty vvvoooooooshing noise

vx lifters are about £17 each, I would not expect them to have gone on a y reg car, how many miles has it done? Have you checked oil pressure, when my lffters went on xe perfromance loss was not noticeable
