my engine is over fueling, i have black plugs, smell of petrol and black smoke from exhaust. it also hunts and is lumpy and uneven on tick over. could the air flow meter be causing all this? there is no codes either

no air leaks tried this and got rid of them all, the Co level is within limits aswel dont no if this would make a difference??

Mine had a similar problem last week, got a second hand AFM with the screw on the AFM not accessable, thereofre it should be set correctly, problem cured as well!

sounds exactly like mine was a few weeks ago
AFM solved the lot idle, fuelling, and misfire due to over fuelling all solved

Mine was like that... but apparently it was running lean!

Hit it and moaned when they realised I'd not put any petrol in it...
it's not as if they'd had all day to work it out
When it goes back I'm going to do EVERYTHING - petrol, oil and even air in the tyres!

haha! take it there with no petrol in, then itll run out on the rollers when they map it, like mine did! then i had to borrow £20 off dan to ge tpetrol, he told me hed rip my spine out if i didnt pay him back!!!!
