to be honest with you i'd rather drive and get stone chips than have my car wear that horrid thing and getting dodgy looks from other road users, pedistrians and dogs!

Good idea, just wish it was transparent.

They are normally used in places where it is cold and the roads are salted every day for about 6 months of the year to stop your car turning to rust as soo as you get a chip.... I'd recomend getting some anti-chip film stuck onto your bonnet to stop it chipping

where can you get this anti chip film? my 106 gti get's stonechipped all the time.

Folia Tec make it... Not sure who sells it, phone up Vision, Demon Tweeks, R-Tec, i'm sure places like that can get similar or the right stuff....

I can get transparent ones too, another company makes acrylic ones or 1mm thick adhesive vinyl.
